With the holidays over, the lack of excitement can seem like a bit of a let down. But, I actually enjoy this time of year as well! There is more quiet and time to hunker in. The one thing I enjoy at the end of every day is when Andy and I light the candles and cozy in for the evening. When I was abroad in Copenhagen, everywhere I went it was routine to meet the descending darkness with candle light. It sets the tone that the day is done and it is time to relax. Bringing hygge into my home has been a ritual ever since.
