The topic of throw pillows reminds me of the Progressive Insurance commercial where Dr. Rick is teaching the new home owners how to not have too many throw pillows on a couch. Yes, having too many throw pillows can be a burden to the functionality of a couch–to sit comfortably. But, they are also one of my favorite ways to add texture, layers, color and pattern to a space. I like to see the accents in my home as a way to show my unique style since I generally have a neutral palette throughout our home. Throw pillows are easily exchanged seasonally or when I feel the need to refresh a room. Pillows can get pretty pricey but I often find great deals at H&M Home, Etsy, Target or when I have time, will sew my own pillow covers.
