1. Mom life has brought on a whole new dimension to my wardrobe. I need clothes that are easy and durable–enter the overall into my life. I know they are coming back into style but I’ve never felt more at home in an item of clothing than these Madewell Overalls. They are perfect for helping me feel somewhat put together during these newborn days. I love that I’ll be able to style them for every season!
2. I’m one to usually have my long hair pulled up in a messy bun when I’m at home (I’m usually cooking, doing laundry, or nursing Josie these days). However, I was getting frustrated that it often fell out or just didn’t sit right on my head. One of my 2am feeding Amazon purchases were these banana clips. They have been great, hold my hair in place and help me feel some what put together.
3. A recent addition to our master bedroom was this piece from Lulu and Georgia. The pressed flower arrangement is beautiful and add just the right amount of warmth, color and organic touch to our room. I ended up getting the gold frame (I’m noticing that I have a slight obsession with gold and brass accents) with it too but you could easily pick out your own frame that fits your style.
4. Colder months mean cozy evenings on the couch curled up with a warm blanket. One of my wish list items is a knit alpaca throw. I love this one from Serena and Lily-the tight knit, classic texture and timeless look all make me say “Yes Please!”. A blanket that has a heavier weight makes it a comfy essential to reach for on chilly nights.
5. There is something special about a hand written note on nice stationary. I think I could spend hours pouring over all the different options in boutique gift stores. With all the thank you notes we’ve written over the past couple months, I have gone through many different packs of blank cards. I’m loving these monogramed cards from Papier–the perfect balance of elegance and simplicity.
6. I often dream of our “one day kitchen” in our forever home. I swoon over images that include an old antique breakfast table. This one is a great find from Chairish. I love the patina and lived in element that antiques provide. Given that it is already broken in, I also am a fan of how I don’t have to worry about wine stains, scratches and spills that ultimately come with daily living that work has already been done.
7. Classy and feminine, these wine glasses would look beautiful on a Christmas table scape.
8. Big days of holiday cooking call for inevitable messes. Why not elevate the experience with a classic linen apron! I’ve been on the hunt for one and am loving this one from Serena and Lily. It has beautiful details: brass buckle and an embroidered medallion design on one pocket.
9. The amount of coffee we are going through these days would rival any local coffee shop. Even though New Orleans has some wonderful local roasters, Andy and I are also nostalgic for our favorite coffee from back home.
10. I came across this beautiful tile from Tabarka, it’s the Paris Metro in charchoal and off white. I’m constantly dreaming of having a home to use this in.
